SIMtone to the Rescue

According to a report by market research firm Harris/Decima, "an upcoming generation of young professionals raised on technology and liberal personal computing is putting an unprecedented strain on companies already faced with the threat of security breaches and an increasingly competitive recruiting environment."

At SIMtone, we are offering the only cloud computing platform that provides business users with personal freedom to use their own desktops, or any other device, to access their corporate applications from anywhere--which ensures organizations can deliver secure, remote access to corporate applications without ever exposing the data center to any inbound connections.

Cloud computing means moving away from having to carry a computer with you, and have your entire digital life, including your PC, and all the old Web services and SaaS applications you used via a browser, available to users on-demand.

Equally important is that a business user's personal Internet activities are cleanly isolated from a company's business.

This is amplified with the following comment to a recent InformationWeek article:

"We've surveyed our laptop-carrying employees and learned that most really don't want a laptop. They just want to have access to their corporate data, and applications, remotely. Their definition of "remotely" mostly means while at home. We've started to reduce our number of deployed laptops by providing employees remote access through our SSL VPN. They can use their home PC to remotely control their desktop, whether it be a physical or virtual desktop..."

Clearly, there are several of us out there that see it the same way.

Hi Karan,

SIMtone provides software that enables service providers to offer its subscribers anywhere access to complete virtual desktops including storage in the cloud or provide connectivity to a subscribing company's virtualized desktops connected to the cloud. Nivio provides storage in the cloud as a service.

Generally I do not post on blogs, but I would like to say that this post really forced me to do so! really nice post.
